SHEL - Caterpillar Shelter (Butterfly Park)

Shelter is located in area with large open green space, Service Memorial Fountain and Monuments, Butterfly Meadows Playground, Gazebo, 2 picnic shelters, prairie trails, 50 Trees of Indiana arboretum, community garden, seasonal restrooms, administrative office and maintenance hub.

Inflatables may only be used if rented through the Valpo Parks Office.

Reservations and add-on's must be made two weeks in advance.

4 additional picnic tables: $65


Full payment is required at the time of reservation and RESERVATIONS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Any event that will exceed the shelter capacity must be approved by the Valpo Parks Office prior to reserving.

Note:

This reservation is for SHELTER ONLY and is from 9am - 10pm. This is your permit. Please keep this confirmation for your records. You will not receive any future mailings regarding this reservation.

Electrical hookups are available at shelter..
Restrooms will be unlock during your reservation.

SHELTER AND ADD-ON FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

If a major shelter problem occurs, please call the 219-462-5144 then select option 1.

Rules for Shelter Rentals:
No canopies or tents
No amplified sound
No decorations that will damage the structure
No artificial petals/leaves, glitter, confetti, rice, fireworks, tiki-torches
Please do not use chalk anywhere in the shelter, including the concrete floor
Anything you bring in must be taken out or thrown away

Failure to clean-up after your event will result in an excess clean-up fee.
